Subject: Do You Feel Ashamed? Faith Forum - Experience posted by CoryBoatright on Wednesday, September 3rd 2008 @ 10:58 PM
I was sitting on my backporch last night having a conversation with God. I thought about how it would probaby seem pretty crazy if anyone saw me just chatting away, but no one was physically present. I thought about this a little more and something was illuminated to me.
Why don't we talk to God more often? Is it because we feel ashamed or embarrassed that he physically isn't present? Do we care more about what others think than building a relationship with the Creator of the universe?
If you are like me, you probably do feel a bit embarrassed when you talk to God. I know it's not something I want to admit, but it is true and I HATE it about myself. My prayer is that anyone that is feeling ashamed about building a relationship with God, whether by; verbally talking to Him, reading the Word, listening to music that glories Him, spending time with people that love Him, finding a Church where you can serve Him and others or anything else that your DAILY walk with God poses a challenges to you...
STOP BELIEVING THE LIES FROM THE ENEMIES OF GOD!
You have amazing potential and gifts that COME FROM GOD. He wants to use you to glorify Him. Don't EVER be ashamed of the gospel of Christ.
I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. - Philippians 1:20
